After the completion of the EVS programme with the title “Life with meaning” we would like to wish our previous volunteers Maria, Prisca, Kostas and Finn every success.
“Give a hand” is a European Voluntary Service programme under the ERASMUS+ Programme.
We would like now to welcome our new EVS volunteers at Cyprus Youth Clubs Organisation (KOKEN).
Profile of the Participants
3 young volunteers, 2 from Greece and 1 from Italy.
Vicky Andreadi comes from Greece and studied Business Administration. She has an interest in cross-cultural and diversity management.
Giulio Fabris is from Italy and has a degree in Political Science and International Relations. He loves sports and travelling.
Kyriakos Panagasidis is 26 years old and comes from Greece. He has a background in Marketing and he is interested in NGO Management.
Presentation of the Project
It aims at disseminating certain skills and awareness about Youth Work among the members of the Youth Clubs.
Young people can always be a valuable part of an organization; especially when it comes to new ideas and practices. Through this program the volunteers will have the chance to be involved with young people from urban and rural areas as well as learning more about our organization and its actions. They are going to offer their knowledge and experience making and give a hand wherever is needed. At the same time they will improve their personal and professional skills.
Mentorship
Constantina Katsantoni is the volunteers’ mentor and supports them when they feel like talking to somebody about their EVS programme and life in Cyprus.

Main Activities
The volunteers will support local volunteers who are familiar with the specific local needs, such as youth leaders and young volunteers. Volunteers will gather European documentation and will produce informational material about the EVS Project.
They will also support the European Projects Manager in certain tasks as communication, events, implementation of educational programs, helping youth clubs in partners search, facilitating events, promoting Erasmus+, promoting the EU values, key priorities and opportunities.
After discussing with the coordinator and the director the volunteers took on specific tasks and projects based on their interests and background. Giulio works on projects that promote cooperation and development, Vicky’s task is the development of material for trainings and Kyriakos is responsible for the marketing and the website development of the organisation.
In addition, a blog is created where the volunteers will describe their experiences and which they will be able to present and share to the local volunteers along with some information about their country and culture in the ‘thematic month’ that each volunteer from all partner countries will participate in.
